Collection: Jewelry

This collection gathers every piece of crystal and gemstone jewelry we carry, from simple wire-wrapped points to faceted stones set in sterling silver. Pendants, bracelets, rings and strands sit side by side here, so you can see the whole range in one place and compare stones rather than styles.

Why wear a stone

Jewelry is the most practical way to keep a stone with you. Where a specimen lives on a shelf, a pendant or bracelet travels through an ordinary day. Many people work with crystals this way because it makes the practice continuous rather than occasional, and because a piece you wear becomes familiar in a way a display piece rarely does.

How our jewelry is chosen

Katie Sutton selects every stone by hand. We buy directly from miners and independent collectors, which means we see material before it has been sorted into commercial grades, and we keep the pieces with the best color, clarity and character. A good deal of what you find here exists in a single example. When a stone is gone, an identical one usually is not coming.

Choosing and caring for a piece

Start with the stone rather than the setting. Look at the photographs closely, since natural material varies in color and inclusion pattern, and expect the piece you receive to carry its own small differences.

  • Softer stones such as celestite, malachite and selenite prefer occasional wear over daily wear.
  • Remove jewelry before swimming or showering, and before applying lotion and perfume.
  • Store pieces separately so harder stones do not scratch softer ones.
  • Wipe with a dry, soft cloth, and skip ultrasonic cleaners and harsh solutions entirely.

If you are buying a gift, a pendant on a simple chain is the most forgiving choice, since it does not need to fit. If you are buying for yourself, trust the piece you keep returning to. Take your time with the collection below, and reach out if you would like more photographs or measurements before you decide.
